Bringing Tech to Burundi

Code Your Dreams, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing technology education and career development to underrepresented communities around the world, is thrilled to partner with Kit-Hub Burundi to propose a comprehensive program aimed at empowering and equipping Burundian students with the skills and resources they need to be competitive digital citizens in the technology landscape. Our goal is to drive employment opportunities and economic development in the country by providing students with the tools they need to succeed in the fast-paced tech industry.

Our Impact

Women Building Change

30 scholars in the inaugural cohort of Women Building Change who engaged in live data science training to learn Python, Statistics, Big Data, and Natural Language Processing.

Our scholars also received individualized mentorship, career training, and project support to help them find a job in the technology world

Albino Association

Our partnership with the Albino Association serves as our inaugural client for the Women Building Change program. As a part of their capstone projects, our students will develop a robust data collection and management system to support individuals with albinism in Burundi.

By addressing the needs of this vulnerable population, we hope to make a meaningful difference in their lives and contribute to a more inclusive society in Burundi.

Burundi Innovates

Our unique startup incubator program is designed to cultivate entrepreneurship and foster innovation by providing comprehensive training and advisory services.

We're nurturing a diverse array of startups, from ethical fashion labels and agriculture distributors to pioneers in 3D animation. Our overarching aim is to stimulate the innovation ecosystem within Burundi and propel regional economic growth.

Burundi School for the Deaf

Burundi has nearly 60,000 people who are deaf with only 1 in 5 being able to attend school. Further, the unemployment rate among deaf people in Burundi is at 90%.

Code Your Dreams is thrilled to grow our partnership with Kit-Hub Burundi to serve youth at their multiple centers in Bujumbura. We are incredibly excited to witness our students' enthusiasm as they strive to enhance their coding abilities, enabling them to create their very own apps, animations, and games

We’re proud to work with the Medical Center Communal Kanyosha that provides medical support, housing, therapy, and opportunities for people facing medical issues due to addiction.
