PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Activism and Web Design:

Empowering Change

Overview: our program, open to students of all ages, integrates web design with activism, providing a powerful platform for students to voice their perspectives on community issues and contribute to positive change

PROGRAM DETAILS
  • This program is ideal for middle and high school students passionate about their community and wishing to make a positive impact. No prior experience in web design is required—just an open heart, a desire to learn, and a commitment to community improvement.

  • Students will utilize the user-friendly platform of Canva to build engaging websites focused on important community initiatives. Our program goes beyond technical skills, providing students with opportunities to hear from community change-makers and advocates directly. These experiences inspire and guide our students to become effective community leaders themselves.

  • By the end of the program, students will not only have their own community-focused website but also a deeper understanding of the power of community leadership and collaboration. They will learn how to leverage digital tools to facilitate meaningful change and amplify their voices for community improvement.

  • We offer two flexible formats to fit your needs:

Weekend Program: This condensed, intensive program offers a full immersion into the world of web design and activism in a short time frame.

After-School Program: This extended version allows for more in-depth exploration of web design principles and offers more opportunities for interactions with community leaders.

Both formats foster a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can turn their passion for community service into tangible action using the power of web design.
