Accessibility Statement for Code Your Dreams

Code Your Dreams is committed to making our digital spaces accessible and inclusive for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We work to ensure that our website supports a wide range of assistive technologies and provides a usable experience for as many people as possible.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Code Your Dreams is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Partially conformant means that some parts of the website may not fully meet all accessibility requirements. We are actively working to improve these areas.

Our efforts

To support accessibility, we:

  • Review the website regularly to identify and resolve accessibility issues.
  • Strive for clear, consistent navigation and readable content.
  • Prioritize compatibility with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other assistive technologies.
  • Consider accessibility during design, development, and content updates.

Technologies used

Code Your Dreams relies on the following technologies, which work together with your browser and assistive tools:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • WAI-ARIA
  • Webflow (site builder, CMS, hosting platform)

These technologies are essential for achieving and maintaining accessibility.

Compatibility notes

We aim to support the most recent versions of major browsers and assistive technologies. Older software may not provide the best experience or full compatibility with our website.

Known limitations

While we continue improving the accessibility of CodeYourDreams.org, some limitations may still exist, such as:

  • Video Player iframes have generic non-descriptive titles, player incorrect ARIA usage, and contrast failures because we do not have full control over the YouTube embedded video players.
  • We also provide links to the videos on YouTube, where transcripts are available.
  • Our donation form is provided by Give Lively, which offers limited customization over the form's accessibility. Issues that may affect users include: incorrect programmatic roles and states for interactive elements; nested interactive elements, such as the custom amount input inside a button; and lack of accessible naming on interactive elements.

We are working to identify and resolve these issues in ongoing updates.
